Clarence Holmes, Jr., PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Dr. Clarence Holmes, Jr. believes in compassionate, patient centered care. He is originally from Cleveland, MS and attended Mississippi State University and Delta State University for his undergraduate studies. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in May of 2014. Upon completion of the DPT, he was accepted into Mercer University’s Orthopedic Residency program in Atlanta, GA and successfully completed the program in August 2015.

His primary clinical interests are in the general orthopedic population. From the weekend warrior to the professional athlete, his skills in manual therapy are well suited to achieve the desired outcome of return to sport or activity. He is also certified in trigger point dry needling and is an APTA credentialed clinical instructor.

Dr. Holmes has been a strong advocate for the physical therapy profession since he started physical therapy school in 2011. He served in various capacities, with the most notable being elected as the American Physical Therapy Association’s Student Assembly Treasurer and Vice President. His dedication to the profession continued into his professional career as he served delegate for the state of Georgia to the APTA’s House of Delegates. Most recently, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Foundation for Physical Therapy.

In his spare time, Dr. Holmes enjoys playing golf at various courses around the city, scuba diving, and woodworking.  He and his wife also enjoy traveling the world as much as they can!
